CHAPEL SPEAKERS
In keeping with our mission to train students in a Christian worldview, CCS has weekly chapel services for both elementary and Jr/Sr high students. Chapel speakers are vetted by our chapel coordinator and approved by the school administration. The following are our most frequent chapel speakers:
Pastor Sam Brown

Sam Brown serves as the Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church of Coshocton, OH. He is a graduate of Northland Baptist Bible College and Graduate School, earning his Bachelors in Pastoral Studies (’06) and his Masters in Biblical Studies (’08). Currently in his 9th year of ministry, Sam has previously served as Youth Pastor (Minnesota) and Senior Pastor (Pennsylvania). While in Minnesota, Sam taught Bible in the church’s Christian school for 4 years. Sam and his wife Alyssa have four boys, three of whom are old enough to attend CCS: Ethan, Owen, Andrew, and Ezra. Sam enjoys nearly all sports especially basketball, baseball, golf, and volleyball (he has coached local public school volleyball for 4 years), with his most beloved teams being the St. Louis Cardinals and the University of Illinois. He loves to read, listen to all sorts of music, play guitar, and have fun with his family.
Pastor Ben Croghan
Fresno Bible Church, Fresno, OH
Ben has a Bachelor’s degree from Appalachian Bible College and has been working as the Youth Director at Fresno Bible Church for several years and is also the worship minister.
He and his wife Kerry have two boys, one of them attends CCS: Jackson and Lucas. He enjoys spending time with my family and friends outdoors….playing frisbee, hiking, camping, and riding anything with 2 or 4 wheels...no legs!
Mrs. Sally Ellis
Fresno Bible Church, Fresno, OH
Sally graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1978 and from Muskingum College in 1982 with a history/secondary education degree. She was part of Coalition for Christian Outreach from 1982-1984 and completed graduate work from Indiana University of Pennsylvania for her elementary education certificate. She also has experience working in preschool/Daycare.
From 1986 to the present, Sally has worked in her family’s business, Pearl Valley Cheese in Fresno, Ohio. She volunteers as a 4-H advisor and in the many children’s ministries at her church. Miss Sally loves children, and her hobbies include planning her next children’s church lesson and hanging out with her precious grandchildren, George and Grace who both attend CCS. Along with two grandchildren, Sally and her husband, Chuck, have been blessed with four children, many nieces and nephews, and the many spiritual sons and daughters she works with in her ministries to children.
